day after tomorrow! yay im excited! tomorrow's the rehearsal dinner a boat on the st croix then sat the wedding. I hope everything goes well!

I'm getting married in less than 2 weeks!!! Wow ...so soon can't believe it's finally here.

Christmas went pretty well this year. this is the first year I spent christmas without my parents as they were visiting my brother and sister in TX and OK. So I ended up spending Christmas Eve and Christmas with Ryan's family. Christmas Eve Ryan's cousin's came over and we just had dinner and hung out til like 11:30 at night. It was okay, except by 10 pm we were all tired and attempting to keep conversations going in order to be polite. Some people just don't know when it's time to leave. Anyway we spend the night fri and then saturday we opened presents and had brunch. ryan's parents actually got me a ton presents which I was suprised about. I got a $50 dollar macy's gift card, a hello kitty waffle maker, a cook book, a bunch of candy and cookies, some lotion, and other stuff.

Ryan and I opened each other's presents early this year as we weren't at home for Christmas. He got me a nice watch, a Clue DVD game, and a pixar short films movie. I got him DDR for WII, a shirt, a couple dvds and then Rock Band for Ps3. that game is so fun! We've been playing it like non-stop. I'm getting pretty good at drums and singing and starting to catch on to guitar.

That's about it. I'm working today through Friday. Then new year's we're having a party at our place (lots of Rock band fun) and then heading to texas for john and amy's wedding next week. Definitely a busy couple of weeks.

I decided I should update since it's been about 2 months. Besides last night, things have been going okay. Last weekend was my bday (25..getting old!)which was a lot of fun. Ryan and I took Friday off and went to the mall of america where I bought a bunch of clothes and two pairs of shoes. Then we went to my parents for dinner. Ryan got me an awesome new camera and case. I love it cause it's so small I can carry it around in my purse. Saturday we went bowling with a bunch of my friends and then came back and played games at our place.

Oh I also picked out my wedding dress! It's really pretty and I got a great deal on it. Since it fit almost perfect off the rack, I got the dress for half off so ended up spending a lot less than I originally planned. My friend Diane is making the bridesmaid dresses which are silky and lavendar colored. She already made hers and they look great!

I also got a raise and finally a full time position at my job a couple weeks ago. It's nice to have a little extra money since I'm always broke and it will be nice to finally have decent health insurance.

My sister is also due this week. She having a baby boy. I can't wait to see him. Ryan and I are going to OK to visit at the end of October.

That's about all that's been going on. I'm going to try to update more frequently.

So that's the big news. Ryan and I are officially engaged as of Saturday night. It happened in Stillwater on the bridge over the river. It was really sweet. After he gave me the ring, we went to dinner at a place called "Stones" where you can eat outside and listen to music after dinner. The food and wine were both excellent. Then after dinner we got some champagne and celebrated. It was good night :).

We haven't picked a date yet for the wedding, but we're planning on July, 2008. My parents are pretty excited as they get to plan another wedding.

Today Ryan and I decided to call into work in order to spend another day together to celebrate. We just hung out, went to lunch, developed pictures, and had a relaxing day. I'll be posting pictures soon on myspace and facebook.

Oh and I love my ring. It's white gold with a circular diamond in the middle and two smaller diamonds on each side. And it fits perfect, which is nice.

So ryan and I moved into our new place in uptown about a week ago. Moving was definitely not fun, but luckily we were able to borrow a big van for free which was nice. So last weekend we spent basically all weekend moving and setting up our place. I think we had a few hours of free time Sunday to enjoy our place, but that's about it. Friday night we had a housewarming party which was really fun. A lot of people came and they all seemed to like our place, especially the awesome location. The cats are finally doing better after the big change. For the first few days Mango just hid under the bed, but he's starting to act normal again. And George seems to love the new place.

Besides that, there's not too much else going on. We finally bought a Wii yesterday at Gamestop. We had a bunch of trade in credit (we traded both of our game cubes and x-box) so it ended up being pretty inexpensive. We also got mario party 8 and wii play. The first of which is really fun. Wii play was kind of disappointing, but it was only $10, so it as worth it. Ryan and I also get free HBO for the first six months of our cable, which is pretty fun. We've been enjoying our free on-demand movies all weekend.

I'm sure I'm missing a lot, but that's basically all that's been going the last month or so ( I'm not sure how I managed to not update for six weeks. ) I'm excited for next weekend cause Kirsten is coming into town and Angie's having her wedding reception which should be fun. Anyway, I'm so ready to go home. Sunday's at work are so slow.

Ryan and I picked out a new kitty on Sunday. He's so adorable! We actually went to the pet store to buy pet shampoo and came home with a new kitty. Well it wasn't exactly completely random since we were planning on buying another cat anyway once we moved, however we saw George at the pet store and couldn't resist. Anyway he's white with a little brown on his tale (see icon). He seems to be getting along with maddie and clyde okay now; Mango is still getting used to him, but I think they'll get along eventually. Right now I think he's just jealous of ths little guy. Anyway I don't work today and I stayed home yesterday, so I've playing with him a lot and getting him used to the new place. He's incredibly friendly and playful. Anyway that's about it for now. A little over a month til moving day!

Wow it's a boring day at work. I was supposed to meet with a client out in cottage grove this morning, so I got up early to drive out there and she's wasn't even home. So I dont know if she forgot she was meeting me or what, but this is the second time I've driven out there and she's canceled or not shown up. So anyway I don't really have anything else scheduled for today until 330. I'd much rather be outside, it's so gorgeous out! It's supposed to be in the 70s today. I'll definitely be going running after work today.

Saturday was our one year anniversary. We went to this awesome fondue restaurant in minneapolis called the Melting Pot. It was waaay too much to eat, but the food the amazing. Then ryan and I went to the James Sewell Ballet, which was pretty good. Ryan bought me a ring with saphire and diamonds which was really pretty and I got him a silver chain necklace. Last night we did our usual walking to el loro to get margaritas and mexican food since it was so nice out. It was fun although the drinks we made afterwards were pretty awful.

A month and half til we move! I'm so excited.

I found out the other day that I owe almost $1000 in taxes this year. For some reason my job accidently blocked my taxes all year to state so I owe the state tons of money. Needless to say, I'm pretty upset. I think they should pay it, but of course they won't. Anyway that leaves me as broke as I've been in a long time. I'm still recovering from taking off a month of work and this definitely doesn't help things. Oh well, I'll figure it out. I'll just have to be pretty cheap for a while. Besides that we leave for new orleans on Thursday. I'm very excited! Ryan's never been there so it'll be fun to show him around. Yesterday we went to the science museum and saw a Hurricane on the Bayoue about New Orleans and Katrina. It was pretty interesting. Anyway, not much else going on now. I really hate working on Sunday mornings.

Wow I haven't updated since kenya. Anyways things are going well since Ive been back. Yesterday ryan and I found an awesome apartment in uptown that were gonna hopefully move into this summer. We applied for it and should find out wed if we got it. It's just perfect and exactly what we were looking for, not to mention a great location near lake calhoun and uptown. Also my rent will actually be cheaper than I pay now which will be nice. Besides that, not much going on. I didn't get into the U of M next year which was disapointing. I'm on the waiting list number 6 at augsburg so I'll probably get in there, but now I'm rethinking if I want to go at all. Maybe it's a sign that I should change career paths all together, I dunno. I got a couple months to decide. Either way I'm looking to get a new job soon. I'm just so frustrated with my current job situation right now, I can't take much more of it.

I absolutely love the weather right now. Last weekend ryan and I went snowboarding in duluth which was tons of fun (although my boots sucked). Oh ryan and I are also going to new orleans/baton rouge to visit my sister and brother in law at the end of march. I'm so excited! it's gonna be a great time. Okay that's it for now.
